While we’re always saddened to hear of the bankruptcy of a long-standing brand, the news that plans to save Saab have been quashed by GM struck one particular nerve. My grandparents and then my parents each owned Saab 900, 9000s and later 95s and every single one has comfier seats than any sofa I’ve ever had the pleasure of resting upon - not to mention exceptional ‘luxury’ features that never hinted to me why these super cars had gained their ‘older man car label’. Who doesn’t want a driving experience that effortlessly combines a hefty amount of power under their foot, whilst being hugged by your favourite armchair – the rest of the nation it seems!
In office news - although we were all disappointed about the departure of our tech team’s Robert, we’re pleased he’s going back home to Poland to spend the first of many Christmases with his newly- extended family (Robert’s first child, Szymon (Simon) was born a few weeks ago). Lots of luck! In the office we’ve been gearing up for Christmas with not one – but TWO ‘beautifully’ decorated trees and even managed to convince all the guys to join in the festivities in the form of the office Secret Santa (now we await their lovingly purchased gifts with baited breath!). We’re swapping presents on Wednesday so I’ll let you know how it went!
